Every TEEN deserves to be Heard — Because I've been There Too.

My own Story
Growing up, I learned firsthand what it means to feel lost and misunderstood. As a teen labeled the "problem student," I faced the same struggles many young people face today – anxiety, low self-esteem, and the desperate search for belonging. Through the guidance of dedicated mentors and years of personal growth, I discovered that our greatest challenges often become our greatest gifts to others.

Being there for others
Today, I use my journey to connect with teens who are writing their own "stories." When they talk about feeling misunderstood, I get it. When they struggle with finding their place, I've been there. Every day, I have the privilege of showing teens what I learned the hard way: that with the right support, every challenge can become a stepping stone to becoming the awesome person they already are.

The birth of
"L-Teens"

When Someone Believes in You
I was fortunate to have mentors who changed my life as a teen. Their impact stayed with me, shaping how I connect with young people in my own work. For years, I found myself naturally drawn to mentoring teens, understanding their struggles and being there when they needed someone to talk to.

Meeting Teens Where They Are
This led to founding "L-Teens" in New Haven 2020, initially serving the Lubavitch community where we lived. Working with these teens – both those in school and those who had left – showed me something important: every teen needs someone they can truly open up to, someone who can help them see the depth and beauty of Judaism without pressure or judgment.

Here for Every Teen
When we moved to Baltimore, it became clear that this need extended far beyond any one community. Today, "L-Teens" welcomes every teen, regardless of background. Because at the end of the day, we all share the same hope: for our teens to feel heard, understood, and supported in finding their own path – one where Judaism isn't just about following rules, but about living with joy, meaning, purpose, and self-expression.
